Gato Gourley

Gato Ian Gourley has an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz where he graduated with honors in the major. Mr. Gourley most recently worked with Medeem, a social enterprise, where he managed development and implementation of software and process solutions for Medeem US and Medeem Ghana. In Ghana, he worked with Medeem Ghana management and staff to bring this Bottom of the Pyramid solution, to provide property documentation/rights, to rural farmers and property holders. Prior to this, he worked to develop an information management system with local government to support evidence-based decision making for development planning in northern Ghana as a member of Engineers Without Borders Canada. During his university years and the years following, Mr. Gourley has worked with the University Of California Atlas Of Global Inequality, an online atlas mapping global indicators of health and wealth disparities. Mr. Gourley has also worked in Nigeria through the Global Information Internship Program at University of California Santa Cruz in partnership with the Nigerian NGOs Our Niger Delta, and Academic Associates Peace Works.

Gato provides administrative and programmatic support for CHARM Administrative Core activities.
