Elizabeth Harleman

MD, Associate Professor of Clinical

Dr. Harleman went to UCSF for medical school and completed her residency in the San Francisco General Hospital Primary Care program. She was a Chief Medical resident at SFGH.

Dr. Harleman is an associate program director for the internal medicine residency and the Co-course director for the CODA medical school course. She has a strong commitment to innovative curricular approaches to training for medical students and house staff. She has an interest in maternal health, serving as a medical consultant to the moderate-high risk Obstetrical clinic at SFGH.

Dr. Harleman is a Co-Investigator on the preventing Type 2 diabetes in high risk minority women project. She oversees the development of the focus group guides for pGDM women and works with the Sweet Success team at SFGH to develop recruitment and follow-up strategies for women with GDM enrolled into the clinical trial.
