U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) announced the appointment of CHARM PI Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, Ph.D., M.D., as co-vice chair

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) announced today the appointment of CVP Director Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, Ph.D., M.D., as co-vice chair. Dr. Bibbins-Domingo has been a member of the Task Force since July 2010. Dr. Bibbins-Domingo’s research is focused on the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases; race, ethnic, and income disparities in health; and clinical and public health interventions aimed at chronic disease prevention.

The Task Force is an independent, volunteer panel of national experts in prevention and evidence-based medicine. The Task Force works to improve the health of all Americans by making evidence-based recommendations about clinical preventive services, such as screenings, counseling services, and preventive medicines.
